# File Repository

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Note:** Only active users with licenses, access rights, and privileges can view, download, control downloads, delete, and access audit trail files within the file repository, or upload files, even if they are not the owners, approvers, or creators of the record.

## Description

All module forms include a standard component known as the File Repository. This feature enables users to upload, download, and manage various file types associated with a single record. Within the [Investigation](/help-center/ciqa-eqms-user-guide/modules/quality-assurance-management/incidents-capa-and-nc-management/investigations-management.md) and [Investigation Request](/help-center/ciqa-eqms-user-guide/modules/quality-assurance-management/incidents-capa-and-nc-management/investigations-requests.md) forms, there is a section within the actions that closely resembles the file repository, allowing users to perform these file-related actions in the context of a specific action. Similarly, the Training module also features a section that resembles the file repository, providing users with the same functionality for managing files within the training context.

## Getting Started

The File Repository can be accessed using the folder icon ![](/files/yMY3xbswPFxQwwohiFRP) in each module form. In order to access the file depository, the system administrator must grant the user permission for access in the [**System Setup -> Users**](broken://pages/avsOUIrObgdkNnKGdnqQ).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.ciqa.net/help-center/ciqa-eqms-user-guide/features/file-repository.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
