The feature to download a controlled copy of a file is only available on the .
In the File Lookup, you can download the files attached to the corresponding record. There are two (2) ways to download a file.
Regular Download
Controlled Download
If you press the Download icon , the application will provide you with a downloaded copy of the file that was uploaded and attached to your record. This is particularly useful when you want the original file in the native format to be reviewed or modified.
If you select the Controlled Download icon , the application will provide you with a downloaded copy, designed to comply with the cGMPs, ALCOA, ALCOA+, and other data integrity and security requirements related to the forms and documents.
In this case, the application will convert the file to PDF format, adding a watermark and unique control number. The user's name and download request details will be stamped in the footer, as shown below.
Notes
In some cases, information related to the record is located on the left side. This includes the record reference (record number), revision, and version. It is important to note that not all modules will present this information in the footer, as its availability may vary for each module record.
Notes
The watermark feature will not be available when downloading controlled action and training attachments.
During a controlled download of a file, the system inserts a watermark. The can be modified in the account section of the team profile.
